Job summary

Mind Body Optimization, Inc. in Woodlands, TX is seeking a Private Practice Therapist to provide high-quality mental health services in an outpatient setting, including assessments, treatment planning, and evidence-based therapy.

The role requires independent work with collaboration, ongoing education, and strict adherence to regulatory standards; licensure as LPC or LCSW is required or provisionally licensed associates accepted.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work from an accredited program.
• Two years of private practice experience preferred; substance use experience preferred but not required.
• Independent licensure and good standing as an LPC, LCSW, or equivalent; provisionally licensed associates accepted.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission, OSHA, CMS, DHS, state and federal regs; able to complete TB testing, drug screening, and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couple, and/or family therapy based on client needs.
• Conduct intake evaluations including history, mental status, and diagnostic assessments.
• Develop personalized treatment plans and formulate accurate diagnoses.
• Provide crisis intervention and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, social workers, and other providers.
• Maintain compliant documentation in the EHR system.
• Participate in continuing education and professional supervision.
• Refer patients to higher levels of care as needed.
