ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates in California to visit a designated selection of stores weekly and scan product barcodes on displays and in aisles. The role involves scanning with a mobile app, collecting data for 52 weeks a year, and supporting major retailers.

The base hours average 4–9 per week per store, with additional hours for special projects during peak periods. The position emphasizes reliability, independence, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform in-store data collection by scanning barcodes across store locations.
• Complete display scanning weekly and for special projects.
• Provide quantity data for about 45% of scanned products.
• Maintain reliability by meeting deadlines and quality standards.
