Job summary

Sam's East, Inc. hosts independent optometrists leasing space inside our Walmart locations. You will play a lead role in eye and vision care as well as general health and wellbeing, with autonomy to set days, hours, and your patient schedule while retaining your exam fees.

You can opt into advanced equipment, instrumentation, and optional support services if state regulations allow. This is an independent lease, not traditional Walmart employment.

Qualifications

• OD from an accredited optometry school.
• Valid state optometry license.
• Ophthalmologist MD/DO from an accredited school.
• Valid state ophthalmology license.
• General Liability/Professional Liability Insurance certificates.
• ME/VA license agreements with Gumberg Asset Management Company.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient care in eye and vision health within the store leasing space.
• Establish your days and hours of operation; control your patient schedule.
• Set your fee schedule and retain 100% of exam/professional fees.
