Job summary

Qualifications

• NP degree and licensure to treat all ages.
• At least two years of experience in a physician office or hospital.
• Ability to make independent patient-care decisions within protocols.
• Experience diagnosing and treating patients and managing care plans.
• Familiarity with managed care and Medicare populations.

Responsibilities

• Takes patient history and records information in the patient chart.
• Confers with physicians about new patient findings and potential diagnosis.
• Develops and implements patient care plans and educates patients.
• Prescribes medications and immunotherapies as allowed by state guidelines.
• Performs education duties and triages patient calls and visits.
• Transmits prescriptions and ensures physician approval signatures.
