Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a physician office or hospital.
• Experience diagnosing and treating patients is desirable.
• Comfortable using email and Internet applications.
• Knowledge of managed care basics and Medicare population.

Responsibilities

• Takes patient history and records in the patient chart.
• Confers with physicians about new patient findings and potential diagnosis and treatment.
• Develops and implements patient care plans and counsels patients.
• Prescribes medications within state guidelines and clinic regulations.
• Provides diagnosis and treatment services to established patients and administers immunotherapy per protocols.
• Manages appointment bookings and ensures timely flow of patients.
• Transmits prescription requests to pharmacy and documents actions.
