Job summary

CommuniCare Health Center seeks a Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Immunology to provide NPx allergy/immunology primary care on-site in Texas. The provider will consult with supervising physicians and follow established clinical protocols within the Allergy Institute.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating allergic conditions, administering immunotherapies, and maintaining accurate health records. Requires Texas NP license, DEA, and BLS; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing with NP certification.
• Board Certification by AANP, ANCC or equivalent.
• Current Texas NP license.
• Active DEA registration.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• BLS certification (AHA).

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and treats allergic or immunologic conditions with patient history, exams, and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribes medications including antihistamines, antibiotics, and corticosteroids.
• Maintain problem-oriented health records and ensure documentation is timely.
• Provide comprehensive medical services and ensure continuity of care per clinic schedule.
• Maintain knowledge of allergy/immunology advances and pursue ongoing education.
• Meet productivity standards and manage patient flow with minimal schedule changes.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Provide clinical oversight of staff and procedures as appropriate.
• Follow clinic policies, procedures, and safety standards; contribute to quality improvements.
• Participate in health promotion activities and clinic meetings as required.
