Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to join as independent contractors to support Military Service members, primarily on weekends with occasional weekday work under RHRP in VA. Responsibilities include health assessments, reviewing records, interviewing service members, and documenting readiness classifications using our system.

Required are an active NP license and CPR/BLS, with preference for experience in primary/urgent/occupational health and mobile medical services.

Qualifications

Active NP license is required.
CPR/BLS Certification required.
Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health is preferred.
Experience with mobile medical services is preferred.
Knowledge of Military systems, protocols, and terminology is preferred.
Adaptable to fast-paced environments with high daily patient volume.
Able to work extended hours and travel to remote military installations.
Weekend availability preferred.

Responsibilities

Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
Identify any concerns that need immediate attention, including Behavioral Health.
Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record.
