Job summary

DOCS Health is hiring Nurse Practitioners as independent contractors to support military service members across various locations in Texas. The role emphasizes weekend availability with some weekday shifts under the Reserve Health Readiness Program, and may require travel to remote installations.

Must hold an active NP license and CPR/BLS certification, with preference given to those experienced in primary, urgent, or occupational health and mobile medical services.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state.
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred.
• Knowledge of Military systems and terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns that need immediate attention, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record.
