Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to partner as independent contractors serving U.S. military service members.

Work primarily on weekends with occasional weekdays under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) across locations including remote military installations. The role involves health assessments, reviewing records, interviewing personnel, and documenting results in the proprietary system to support readiness classifications.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state
• CPR/BLS Certification required
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred
• Experience with mobile medical services preferred
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols and terminology preferred
• Able to work in fast paced environments with high volumes
• Willingness to travel and work weekends
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify urgent concerns including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using the proprietary system.
