Job summary

Underwriter Services Association seeks an experienced Commercial & Residential Loss Control Consultant to conduct interior and exterior loss control inspections as an independent contractor. You will be paid per inspection and report results through a cloud-based system, with weekly payments upon satisfactory completion.

Ideal candidates have prior loss control experience, own required equipment, and can cover a wide territory with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Prefer 1 year loss control surveys and 3–5 years in commercial loss control
• Ability to meet hard deadlines with minimal supervision
• Own a Windows 10 computer with high-speed internet
• Detail oriented and well organized with a flexible schedule
• Reliable car to cover a wide territory
• Digital camera and high-speed internet with MS products
• Camera pole up to 12 ft and measuring tool for field work

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with insured/agent via email and/or phone calls
• Complete physical inspections of properties as required by the carrier
• Take clear digital photos of properties
• Identify and document hazards/controls found at the property
• Complete on-site management interviews regarding the property, as required
• Upload report/photos through a cloud-based system by the deadline
• Become familiar with client guidelines
• Communicate with Preferred Reports, agents, and insureds as needed
• Provide high quality and professional services
