Job summary

Underwriter Services Association in Massachusetts seeks an experienced Commercial Loss Control Consultant to perform insured property inspections, identify hazards, and recommend risk controls. This is a 1099 independent contractor role with reports submitted via a cloud-based system.

Ideal candidates have property/casualty loss control survey experience, strong communication and technology skills, and the ability to work independently with a reliable vehicle and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience completing property and casualty loss control surveys and reports.
• Thorough understanding of general liability and property coverages.
• Familiarity with commercial auto, workers compensation, and inland marine lines is a plus.
• Ability to meet hard due dates with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written reporting skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with insured/agent via email and/or phone.
• Perform on-site property inspections within an assigned territory.
• Take digital photos and document hazards/controls.
• Prepare clear, concise reports from site visits.
• Upload reports and photos to cloud-based system.
• Complete online training courses as required.
• Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and ethics codes.
