Job summary

The IMAGE Center is seeking an IL Specialist and Youth Instructional Support staff member to empower youth and adults with disabilities to achieve greater independence. You will design and facilitate objective-based lessons across one-on-one, classroom, virtual, and community settings, blending coaching, advocacy, and data management to support personal goals.

Core duties include developing Pre-ETS based lessons, conducting intake assessments, adapting teaching methods for diverse needs,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
• 1–2 years in instructional, coaching, or training settings; Special Education bonus.
• Proficiency with digital tools for virtual meetings and collaboration.
• Flexible schedule including weeknights/weekends as needed.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel across multiple counties.

Responsibilities

• Direct Instruction & Coaching: follow or create lesson plans for PreETS and independent living skills.
• Intake & Assessment: screen and assess consumer strengths, needs, and goals.
• Adaptive Teaching: adjust lessons based on health and diverse learning needs.
• Case Management & Documentation: record goals and progress in a consumer database.
• Stakeholder Communication: maintain contact with families and DORS Counselors.
• Reporting & Collaboration: provide evaluations for reporting and invoicing.
• Community Outreach: participate in events to market programs.
• Data Security: maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
