Job summary

Supportive Community Innovations is seeking Direct Support Professionals (Caregivers) to help individuals with disabilities live more independently. You will provide one-on-one support in clients’ homes and community settings, assist with routines and personal goals, and follow behavior support plans.

A valid driver’s license and flexibility are required. Starting pay is $17.00 per hour, with full-time benefits eligibility at 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and vehicle registration.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to drive between locations.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends.
• Ability to use email and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in clients’ homes and community settings.
• Help clients develop independent living, communication, social, and community participation skills.
• Support clients with routines and individualized personal goals.
• Follow behavior support plans and clinical recommendations.
• Assist clients in responding to challenging situations.
• Transport or accompany clients to activities, appointments, errands, and outings.
• Document services accurately and complete notes on time.
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and clinical team members.
• Follow health, safety, confidentiality, and incident-reporting procedures.
• Receive feedback and apply it consistently in work.
