Job summary

DABS, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals in California to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Roles include Personal Attendant and Skills Instructor, working in home and community settings. Employment includes pay range of $17.00–$25.00 per hour, weekly pay, and benefits.

Final assignments depend on program needs and availability; full-time and part-time positions are available, with opportunities for training and advancement.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Background check and TB clearance required.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 25–40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered supervision in the home and community.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, meals, and light housekeeping.
• Supervise medication administration when needed.
• Transport individuals to medical appointments.
• Complete daily logs and progress notes per DDS/Regional Center standards.
• Teach independent living skills and support community participation.
• Document observations clearly and collaboratively in meetings.
