Job summary
DABS, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals in California for Personal Attendant and Skills Instructor roles in home and community settings. You will provide individualized support, focus on ADLs, teach independent living skills, and help individuals engage in meaningful activities while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
We offer full-time and part-time schedules, competitive pay, and employee benefits. Final assignment depends on program needs and experience.
Qualifications
- Background check required.
- TB clearance as per CA health guidelines.
- CPR/First Aid certification required.
- Valid California driver’s license with reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance if transporting individuals.
- Must pass health and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide supervised, person‑centered support in home and community.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living as needed.
- Supervise medication administration when required and accompany to appointments.
- Complete daily logs and progress notes per DDS/Regional Center standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and care planning.
- For Skills Instructor: teach independent living skills and support community participation.
