Job summary

Project Genesis, Inc. is seeking compassionate Independent Living Skills Trainers (ILST) to join our Acquired Brain Injury program in Clinton, CT. You’ll work one-on-one with individuals to rebuild daily living skills, gain independence, and live more confidently in their communities.

Full-time day shifts are available, with starting pay at $18.00 per hour. We offer benefits such as health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off, paid training and mileage reimbursement, plus growth

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and good driving record.
• ABI experience: 2 years with HS diploma or 1 year with a bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals in developing independent living skills such as daily routines, budgeting, cooking, and communication.
• Provide non-medical care, supervision, and socialization based on each client’s personalized service plan.
• Encourage, guide, and celebrate progress — big and small!
• Be a positive, steady presence as your clients build stronger, more fulfilling lives.
