Start to Finish Independent Living Services, LLC in California seeks an ILS Instructor to help adults with developmental disabilities build daily living skills and independence. Work is available as part-time or full-time, with Spanish-speaking candidates encouraged to apply.

You’ll work one-on-one in homes and community settings, tailoring instruction to each person’s goals. Responsibilities include teaching cooking, budgeting, transportation, and personal care, maintaining records, and

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 1-2 years direct care experience or AA/120 units toward BA.
• Reliable vehicle and California driver’s license.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to pass fingerprint clearance (Live Scan).
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsabilités

• Provide individualized instruction in daily living skills (cooking, laundry, hygiene, shopping, budgeting, transportation).
• Support community integration through local programs and events.
• Demonstrate skills with prompting and step-by-step guidance.
• Provide safe transportation to medical appointments.
• Assist with housing searches and navigating community resources.
• Support healthy dietary and nutritional habits.
• Help individuals use public transportation and navigate the community.
• Maintain accurate documentation of sessions.
• Collaborate with individuals, families, service coordinators, and IPP goals.
