Job summary

The Arc of Butte County in Chico, CA is seeking an Independent Living Skills (ILS) Instructor to work one-on-one with adults with developmental disabilities, teaching daily living, problem-solving, home management and social skills to increase independence and meaningful community participation.

You will document progress, coordinate with families and other professionals, and transport clients to activities using a personal vehicle; a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are preferred.

Qualifications

• Provide individualized skill development to support independence in daily living, social, and community skills.
• Support clients in achieving personal goals through structured, person-centered instruction.
• Monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
• Drive between community-based settings (such as client homes, appointments, and community activities) using a reliable personal vehicle.
• Support community integration and social participation.
• Collaborate with families and other support professionals to ensure coordinated care and support.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress.
• Other duties as assigned.
