Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and their networks.
• Experience supporting individuals in community integration and daily living skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one instruction to promote independence.
• Support employment preparation including resume building and interview practice.
• Teach communication methods including aided devices and sign language.
• Assist with mobility and access to public transportation.
• Support education planning, class enrollment, and attendance.
• Assist with money management and budgeting.
• Teach self-help, hygiene, and dressing skills.
• Promote safety and environmental awareness in daily activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with individuals and families and professionals.
