Job summary

Signature Companies is seeking self-starting High Value Residential Insurance Inspectors to cover the Thousand Oaks, Santa Barbara and Ventura areas. You will work as an independent contractor, scheduling on-site surveys from a home office and reporting results through our loss control platform.

Experience in insurance adjusting or home appraisals is a plus; required tools include a smartphone, tablet, laptop, and measuring devices.

Qualifications

• Experience in Insurance Adjusting, Home Appraisals, Real Estate or Construction is a plus.
• Experience using Rapid Sketch, Xactimate, CAD or other diagramming programs will be helpful.
• Must have smartphone, tablet and personal computer.
• BA or BS degree desired, but not required.
• Prior underwriting experience is desirable.
• Prior inspection experience on residential homes is desirable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work from your home office.
• Interact with homeowners and insurance agents by phone, email, and in person.
• Drive to and conduct on-site property surveys on high value homes.
• Identify and document construction materials and unique features of the home.
• Obtain measurements and estimate replacement value of the home.
• Communicate information gathered during inspections in loss control 360 on Signature site.
