Job summary

Signature Companies is seeking self-motivated Independent Contractors to perform on-site High Value Property Surveys in the Oakland area. You will manage your own schedule, visit homes, take measurements and photos, and report findings to underwriters through our loss-control platform.

Experience in insurance adjusting, home appraisals, real estate or construction is a plus. A late-model vehicle, liability insurance, and mobile tools are required; work-from-home with field visits is expected.

Qualifications

• Prior underwriting experience desirable.
• Prior inspection experience on residential homes desirable.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Professionalism is key.
• BA or BS degree desired, but not required.
• Must have smartphone, tablet and personal computer.
• Late-model reliable vehicle with Auto and General Liability Insurance.
• High speed internet and camera or 16mp+ smartphone camera; measuring devices helpful.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct on-site High Value Property Surveys.
• Visit properties, take photos and measurements, note issues for underwriter.
• Generate an estimated replacement value and identify major hazards.
• Communicate gathered information through loss control reports on Signature platform.
