Job summary

You will perform a broad range of HVAC/R service and refrigerant recovery tasks with minimal supervision, and take on more complex assignments while mentoring junior Tech I staff. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years of field service experience, EPA 608 Universal Certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years hands-on HVAC/R field service experience with progressive responsibility.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required; OSHA-10 safety training required; HAZMAT training a plus.
• Valid driver’s license; forklift certification required or to be obtained; DOT requirements for operating service vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine service jobs and refrigerant recovery with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and resolve intermediate issues in chiller/refrigeration systems; identify leaks and faulty components.
• Assist senior techs with complex projects like retrofit conversions or decontamination.
• Coordinate on-site logistics and ensure tools and refrigerant inventory are ready.
• Mentor Tech I teammates on procedures, safety practices, and troubleshooting.
• Communicate clearly with customers about work performed and next steps.
