Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Lakewood, CO is seeking a Fire Service Technician to independently service fire protection systems. You will apply industry knowledge and troubleshooting to keep systems compliant with codes and standards, handling maintenance on commercial, industrial, and construction sites.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in the field, NICET Level I+, CSA, and a clean driving record where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician.
• NICET Level I or above is required.
• CSA certification is required.
• Strong understanding of fire alarm systems and troubleshooting methods.
• Ability to work independently and manage tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and service of fire alarm systems independently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions.
• Complete standard service calls without direct supervision.
• Interpret system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to perform required tasks.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and company policies.
• Accurately complete service reports and inspection records.
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members and supervisors.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
