Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm Service Technician to independently perform service and maintenance on fire alarm systems. You will diagnose issues, interpret drawings, and complete service calls with minimal supervision.

The role requires 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry, NICET Level I+ preferred, and strong problem-solving and organizational skills. Travel to various job sites with safety-first mindset is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as a technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and service of fire alarm systems independently.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues and implement corrective actions.
• Complete standard service calls without direct supervision.
• Interpret system drawings, specifications, and technical manuals.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to perform required tasks.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and company policies.
• Accurately complete service reports, documentation, and inspection records.
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Perform work in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.
• Provides guidance and support to entry-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment on job sites.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Education
