Job summary

H&S Loss Control Inspections, Inc is seeking qualified field inspectors for insurance loss control inspections on a independent contractor basis. The pay is a competitive flat fee per case, typically $65–$75 per case, with variation by customer and inspection type.

Inspectors review assignments electronically, schedule appointments, inspect properties for safety and code compliance, interview insureds, and submit reports online using Loss Control 360 and Rapid Sketch.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience providing commercial insurance loss control inspections.
• Understanding of commercial property and casualty lines: property, GL, and workers' comp.
• Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and communicate well verbally and in writing.
• Comfortable completing reports online and uploading documents.

Responsibilities

• Receives assignments electronically and reviews inspection requirements.
• Schedules the inspection appointment with the insured by phone, email, or text.
• Inspects the property for potential issues or hazards related to utilities/building systems and safety.
• Interviews the insured for operations information and building system ages.
• Communicates inspection status through the online application.
• Completes the inspection report on Loss Control 360 with Rapid Sketch and returns it electronically.
