Avail Health & Behavioral Solutions, LLC is seeking a Direct Care Provider to join our registry as an independent contractor in Panama City Beach, FL. You will support a young adult male in his 20s on the autism spectrum with daily living activities, transportation, and community engagement.

Shifts are Monday–Friday 3 PM–6 PM and Saturday 9 AM–3 PM, totaling 21 hours per week, with no evenings or overnights. This is meaningful, client-focused work in a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Background screening clearance required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and independent living skills.
• Provide transportation to community activities.
• Encourage positive behaviors and follow care plans.
• Follow APD guidelines and agency protocols.
• Communicate with families, coordinators, and leadership.
• Maintain client safety and professional boundaries.
• Respond to emergencies per agency procedures.

In this role, you will provide one‑on‑one home and community support for a young adult male in is 20s on the autism spectrum. Routine care includes toileting reminders, assistance with fine motor skills, light meal‑prep/cooking, and community engagement such as going to the park or beach. This is a great opportunity for experienced caregivers or special needs teachers looking to expand their current case load or pick up extra hours.

• Provide transportation to fun and engaging community activities
• Encourage positive behaviors and reinforce person‑centered goals
• Implement and follow individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies
• Promote client dignity, choice, and community involvement
• Maintain professional boundaries and respectful communication
• Ensure client safety following APD guidelines and agency protocols
• Communicate effectively with agency leadership, families, and support coordinators
• Respond to behavioral or medical emergencies following agency protocols (as needed)

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for professional use (gas/mileage not reimbursed)
• Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs
• Demonstrated ability to manage client care and safety with limited supervision
• Personal smartphone required for app‑based scheduling and client communication
• CPR/First Aid Certification (required within 30 days of onboarding)
• APD Training Certificates (required within 30 days of onboarding)
• CNA, BLS, HHA, or DSP certifications preferred (not required)

Employment Terms Disclosure

This is an Independent Contractor (1099) position, not a W-2 employment role. Contractors are strictly responsible for their own tax obligations (including self‑employment taxes) and are not eligible for company-sponsored benefits, health insurance, and paid time off.
