Independent Contractor: Mobile Military NP (Weekend)

Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to partner as independent contractors providing services to military service members in South Carolina, primarily on weekends with occasional weekdays under the RHRP, as needed.

You will perform health assessments, review histories and records, interview personnel, and document results in our system, supporting deployable readiness across US Army Reserve, Guard, Navy Reserve, and other services.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in South Carolina.
• CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience with primary, urgent, or occupational health is preferred.
• Experience with mobile medical services is preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology is preferred.
• Able to work extended hours and weekends; travel to remote military installations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct health assessments for military personnel.
• Review health history, medical records, and questionnaires.
• Interview service members to assess medical concerns.
• Identify urgent concerns including behavioral health.
• Document interview results in the service member's medical record using the proprietary system.
