Job summary

Concorde Education is seeking independent instructional contractors to provide dance enrichment services for K–12 students at partner schools. This is a potential independent contractor assignment, not an employee position.

Assignments vary by school, grade level, schedule, curriculum, available space, music resources, and program objectives. Contractors may use curriculum guidance, lesson-plan suggestions, choreography ideas, instructional resources, or program objectives, adapting instruction

Qualifications

• At least 60 college credits, where required by the assignment or site.
• Experience with dance instruction, choreography, performance, or related movement.
• Experience teaching or leading activities with school-age students.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom facilitation skills.
• Availability to provide services for the accepted assignment schedule.
• Familiarity with age-appropriate instructional practices, music-based activities, and classroom or studio management.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate dance instruction and movement sessions.
• Teach foundational dance techniques, rhythm, coordination, choreography, and creative movement through structured, hands-on activities.
• Adapt instruction based on student experience levels, site requirements, available space, and program objectives.
• Guide students in developing dance routines, performance skills, teamwork, creativity, and self-confidence, where applicable.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive, and age-appropriate learning environment.
• Communicate assignment-related needs or concerns with Concorde and school staff as appropriate.
• Complete a brief session completion form after each scheduled session.
• Follow site safety, visitor, technology, emergency, and student-protection procedures.
