Job summary

Concorde Education is seeking independent instructional contractors to provide band and instrumental music enrichment services for K–12 students. These are independent contractor opportunities, not employee positions, with on-site assignments varying by school and schedule.

Contractors may choose whether to apply, accept, decline, or ignore opportunities, and compensation is typically $50+ per completed instructional service hour, depending on scope, experience, location, and schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in band, instrumental music, music education, conducting, performance or related musical disciplines.
• Experience teaching, tutoring, coaching, mentoring, directing ensembles, private lessons, or leading activities with school-age students.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate band rehearsals and instrumental music sessions.
• Introduce students to foundational musicianship, instrumental technique, ensemble performance, and music literacy.
• Adapt instruction based on student experience levels, site requirements, materials, and program objectives.
• Support students in developing playing skills, ensemble collaboration, rehearsal habits, and performance confidence.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive learning environment.
• Communicate needs or concerns with Concorde and school staff as appropriate.
• Complete a session completion form after each scheduled session.
• Follow site safety, visitor, classroom, emergency, equipment, and student-protection procedures.
