Job summary

Underwriter Services Association is seeking experienced Commercial Lines Loss Control Consultants to visit accounts in the San Diego area for insurance inspections and consultative services. This is a 1099 contract position with flat-rate per inspection or hourly pay, paid weekly upon report submission.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of loss control experience, own equipment, reliable transportation, and can work independently to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience completing property and casualty loss control surveys and reports.
• General liability and property lines knowledge.
• Understanding of commercial auto, workers compensation, and inland marine lines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule site inspections with insured/agent by phone or email.
• Perform on-site property inspections within assigned territory.
• Take digital photos and document hazards/controls.
• Produce clear, detailed reports promptly after site visits.
• Upload reports/photos to cloud-based system and complete required training.
