Job summary

Underwriter Services Association Inc. is seeking experienced Commercial Lines Loss Control Consultants to visit accounts in the Los Angeles area to perform inspections and provide risk assessments.

Contract-based 1099 work with a flat rate per inspection or hourly, depending on client needs. You must supply own equipment, have reliable transportation, and report results through a cloud system; payments are issued weekly after completion and submission of reports.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in property and casualty loss control surveys and reports.
• Strong knowledge of general liability and property lines; understand related coverages.
• Must provide own equipment and reliable transportation; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with insured/agent via email and/or phone calls.
• Complete physical inspections of properties within an assigned territory.
• Take digital photos of properties.
• Identify and document hazards/controls at the property.
• Complete on-site management interviews regarding the property.
• Upload report/photos through a cloud-based system.
• Complete online training courses, as required.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and ethics codes.
• Follow safety and security procedures.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary.
