Job summary

BELFOR is seeking an Intermediate Carpenter to support reconstruction efforts, requiring extensive carpentry experience and the ability to work with little supervision. Responsibilities include supervising unskilled labor, performing floodcutting, securing builds, and assisting Estimators with scope development; travel and weekend work may be required as needed.

Will travel periodically and may require night shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience across residential, commercial and multi-family carpentry projects
• Ability to supervise unskilled labor and coordinate with subcontractors as needed
• Demonstrated capability to work with limited supervision and run projects autonomously

Responsibilities

• Recognize potential problems and seek guidance when needed
• Move and protect contents without damage
• Construct containment for dust, dirt and contaminants
• Perform floodcutting, salvaging and labeling of baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Attend and complete shrink wrap training and multiple projects
• Develop knowledge of insulation types, thickness and R-values
• Apply carpentry knowledge to trim, doors, cabinets, insulation, rough framing, ceilings, roofing and siding
• Report time, materials used, and maintain equipment in good condition
• Attend BELFOR safety training as required
