Job summary

Vascular Institute of the Rockies seeks an Echo Tech to independently perform echocardiograms in clinical settings. You will work in a fast-paced environment, capture and interpret images, and support cardiologists in patient care.

The role requires at least 1 year of echocardiography experience, RDCS/RCS certification or equivalent, and a current BLS. Full-time hours, competitive benefits, and a focus on patient safety are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of echocardiography experience.
• Must have completed an Echo Technologist course of training.
• RDCS or RCS certification.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiograms, M-mode, and Doppler evaluations to assess cardiac function.
• Follow physician protocols to ensure accuracy for each patient.
• Capture ultrasound images for cardiologist review.
• Monitor patient conditions during the echocardiogram.
• Explain the procedure to patients prior to testing.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment.
• Calibrate and clean equipment after use.
• Maintain patient records per HIPAA regulations.
• Document findings and results of echocardiograms.
• Collaborate with cardiologists to provide patient care.
• Perform cardiac stress testing.
• Administer IV Definity and agitated saline as needed.
