Malama Health in Minnesota seeks experienced birth doulas to support pregnant and postpartum Medicaid members as independent contractors.

As a doula, you maintain your own practice while Malama handles enrollment, credentialing, billing, and payment; you set your schedule and work with the care team to coordinate care within scope.

Qualifications

• Experienced birth doula practicing in Minnesota.
• Approved for Minnesota Doula Registry, or eligible and willing to complete registration.
• Willing to complete Minnesota Medicaid and health-plan enrollment and credentialing requirements.
• Experience providing prenatal, labor/birth, and postpartum support.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-clinical prenatal, labor/birth, and postpartum doula support.
• Provide culturally responsive emotional, informational, and physical support aligned with each member’s preferences and needs.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of services.
• Follow applicable privacy, documentation, quality, and payer requirements.
• Coordinate with Malama’s care team when a member needs support outside the doula scope of practice.
