Kindly Direct Care is hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities in Metuchen, NJ 08840. This role focuses on companionship, independence, and participation in community activities.

The candidate will drive on shift, support daily routines and goals, and document appropriately for the team. Pay ranges from $18 to $21 per hour with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Warm, patient, dependable, and genuinely interested in building a consistent relationship.
• Able to reliably work the posted schedule.
• Comfortable supporting an adult one-to-one in home and community settings.
• Reliable vehicle required.
• Experience in DSP, mentoring, education, recreation, human services, or caregiving is helpful but may not be required.

Responsabilités

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.
• Help the individual participate in recreational and community activities, including going to movies, dining out, and exploring new venues and activities within the community.
• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable.
• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills.
• Help the individual work toward goals identified in the service plan.
• Provide reminders, routine support, or light assistance as required by the case.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.
• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.
