Kindly Direct Care is seeking a caring Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support for an adult with developmental disabilities in Morris County, NJ. This role emphasizes companionship, community participation, and helping the individual gain independence.

The position offers a part-time schedule: Mon-Tue-Fri 9:00 AM–3:00 PM and Wed-Thu 12:00 PM–5:00 PM, in Morris Plains, NJ 07950. Driving on shift is required. Pay ranges from $22–$24 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct support or caregiving is helpful but not required.
• Ability to work one-to-one with an adult in home and community settings.
• Reliable availability for the posted schedule (Mon/Tue/Fri and midweek shifts).

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.
• Help the individual participate in community outings, ADLs, and home upkeep.
• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, and social activities.
• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy and life skills.
• Assist with goals identified in the service plan.
• Provide reminders and light routine support as required.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized instructions.
• Complete required documentation and communicate with the Kindly team.

Kindly Direct Care is hiring a caring, dependable Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities in Morris County.

This individual is looking for a consistent DSP who can provide companionship, help them get out into the community, and encourage greater independence. This is a strong fit for someone who enjoys building genuine relationships and helping another person participate more fully in everyday life.

What You'll Do

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.
• Help the individual participate in going out in the community, walking, and visiting parks. DSP will also assist with ADLs and keeping the apartment clean.
• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable.
• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills.
• Help the individual work toward goals identified in the service plan.
• Provide reminders, routine support, or light assistance as required by the case.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.
• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.

What We're Looking For

• Warm, patient, dependable, and genuinely interested in building a consistent relationship.
• Able to reliably work the posted schedule.
• Comfortable supporting an adult one-to-one in home and community settings.
• DSP, mentoring, education, recreation, human services, or caregiving experience is helpful but may not be required for this assignment.
