Job summary

Kindly Direct Care in Warren County, NJ is hiring a caring Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.

You will help with scheduling, organization, and executive functioning, drive on shift, and contribute to the participant's goals under the service plan. Schedule: Wednesdays after 12:30 PM and Fridays after 3:00 PM. This role involves in-home and community activities and requires reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience in direct support or caregiving is helpful but not required.
• Availability on Wednesdays after 12:30 PM and Fridays after 3:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.
• Help the individual follow her schedule, stay organized, and build executive functioning.
• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable.
• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills.
• Help the individual work toward goals identified in the service plan.
• Provide reminders, routine support, or light assistance as required by the case.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.
• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.

Kindly Direct Care is hiring a caring, dependable Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities in Warren County.

About This Opportunity

This individual is a 21-year-old high-functioning college student who needs support with staying organized, managing her schedule and syllabus, keeping up with assignments and reports, and building her executive functioning skills. If time allows, she would also enjoy getting out into the community. Ideally, looking for someone who is familiar with college life and can relate to her as a fellow student.

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.
• Help the individual follow her schedule, keep up with reports, stay organized, and build her executive functioning skills.
