Kindly Direct Care is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities in Monmouth County. A warm, patient, and dependable approach is essential as you build a consistent relationship with the individual.

You will assist with community outings, errands, appointments, and activities while promoting independence, communication, and decision-making.

• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable.
• Encourage independence, communication, decision-making, self-advocacy, and life skills.
• Help the individual work toward goals identified in the service plan.
• Provide reminders, routine support, or light assistance as required by the case.
• Maintain safety and follow individualized support instructions.
• Complete required documentation and communicate reliably with the Kindly team.

Kindly Direct Care is hiring a caring, dependable Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support to an adult with developmental disabilities in Monmouth County.

About This Opportunity

24-year-old verbal, high-functioning individual who enjoys going to the library, bookstores, antique shops, doing crafts, taking walks, watching old movies, and going to the gym. Looking for a patient, reliable DSP who is comfortable supporting behavioral needs, including OCD, yelling, self-harm, and occasional behaviors that may pose a risk to others.

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.

• Help the individual participate in community outings.

• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering, social opportunities, or other community activities as applicable.

• DRIVERS LICENSE/VEHICLE REQUIRED.

• DSP, mentoring, education, recreation, human services, or caregiving experience is helpful but may not be required for this assignment.

Schedule: Any 3 days a week 11:00AM-2:00PM.
Pay: 18-21/HRLocation: Middletown NJ 07748Driving on shift: REQUIRED
