Job summary

Twin Rivers Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator-Independence Facilitator at Westside Elementary. This full-time role provides individualized behavior intervention and medical support for students and assists teachers with instruction and classroom management across special and general education settings.

The position runs 7 hours per day, 5 days per week, 182 work days per year, with a salary of $21.24–$28.08 per hour in nine steps based on experience.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a competency assessment demonstrating knowledge to assist in reading, writing, and mathematics.
• Completion of at least 48 college credit units may substitute for the competency assessment.

Responsibilities

• Provides individual behavior intervention and medical support to students in classroom settings.
• Assists individuals or small groups of students to enhance learning.
• Assists teachers with instruction and classroom management in special and general education classrooms, lunchroom and play field.
