Job summary

Kindly Direct Care in Metuchen, NJ is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support for an adult with developmental disabilities. The role focuses on companionship, community involvement, and helping build independence in daily activities.

Schedule is 2–3 days per week, about 4 hours per shift, with driving on shift required. Pay ranges from $18 to $21 per hour, with in-home and community-based duties and reliable documentation with the Kindly team.

Qualifications

• Must be able to drive and have a reliable vehicle.
• Willing to work 2–3 days per week, 4 hours per day.
• Experience in caregiving or human services is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one companionship and person-centered support.
• Assist participation in recreational and community activities (movies, dining out, new venues).
• Support errands, appointments, recreation, volunteering and other community activities.
• Encourage independence, decision-making, and life skills.
• Complete required documentation and communicate with the Kindly team.
