Job summary

Bird is seeking a Receiving Inspector in Solon, OH to perform inbound, in-process, and final evaluations ensuring products meet quality standards. You will be the contact for supplier concerns, work with QA and Quality Engineer, and help maintain ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

Strong communication and ability to read engineering drawings are essential. Responsibilities include inspecting materials with visual and measurement tests, maintaining measurement equipment, and leading corrective actions for

Qualifications

• Associates degree or relevant experience.
• 2–5 years QA experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015.
• Experience with measurement equipment (meters, gauges, calipers).
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Electrical testing experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and approve incoming materials using specs and tests.
• Perform in-process and final electrical and mechanical inspections.
• Develop and maintain inspection work instructions.
• Lead supplier corrective action analysis and response.
• Receive and process RMAs.
• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
