Job summary

Norfolk County Agricultural High School in Walpole, MA seeks a Vocational Instructional Assistant to provide instructional and behavioral support to students with disabilities in vocational and specialized settings.

Under licensed teachers and special education staff, you will assist with classroom instruction, data collection, and collaboration with teams while helping implement IEPs and maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
• Two years of higher education study or an Associate’s degree preferred.
• Ability to support classroom instruction under licensed teachers and special education staff.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills; maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students with disabilities.
• Assist with whole-class, small group, and individualized instruction.
• Support implementation of IEPs under supervision of licensed staff.
• Collect observational and instructional data related to student progress and behavior.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow school policies.
