Job summary

Bethel School District is seeking qualified applicants for a 6.5-hour Comprehensive Student Support position at Malabon Elementary School in Eugene, Oregon. The Educational Assistant will provide instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, and physical support to students with a range of needs.

The role emphasizes inclusion and collaboration with licensed staff, ongoing professional development, and implementing individualized supports (IEPs/BSPs) to help students access resources and succeed

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience or coursework in child development, special education, behavioral support, or related fields.
Ability to prove Highly Qualified status under ESEA or pass Bethel School District’s assessment.
Completion of required training (e.g., de-escalation, restraint, seclusion; toileting, health, feeding; inclusive practices) provided by the District.
Physical ability to perform lifting, hygiene support, and mobility assistance.

Responsibilities

Provide instructional, behavioral, social-emotional, and physical support to students.
Support students individually or in groups within general and special education settings.
Assist in implementing inclusive practices and professional development opportunities.
Assist with BSPs and behavior data collection.
Support students with personal care needs as required.
