Job summary

PROVAIL, based in Tukwila, WA, seeks an Employment Consultant to support people with disabilities on their career journeys and to collaborate with local employers to create inclusive workplaces.

The role involves managing a regional caseload, crafting person-centered employment plans, conducting discovery, and delivering on-the-job coaching. Daily driving is required and a strong commitment to equity is essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED and 1 year of experience in employment services, social work, disability services, or related field.
• OR a bachelor’s degree in a related field in place of experience.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities in a community setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload and maintain required monthly service hours.
• Develop person-centered employment plans reflecting participants’ interests and goals.
• Conduct discovery to explore skills and interests and observe participants in various settings.
• Build relationships with new business partners that match participants’ interests.
• Partner with businesses to identify needs and match with participants’ interests.
• Provide on-the-job support and coaching using strengths-based strategies.
• Monitor progress and celebrate successes.
