Job summary

Northwest Regional Education Service District seeks an Instructional Assistant for the Early Learning program at antkwak Early Learning Center in Hillsboro. This 0.9375 FTE position supports IEP/IFSP goals under licensed staff and assists with classroom operations and student supervision.

The role requires a High School Diploma, lifting ability, and a background registry clearance, with Spanish preferred. Compensation is on the Classified Salary Schedule (Range C) and hours total 37.5 per week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift students from wheelchair to floor and back.
• Child Care Central Background Registry Clearance required for Early Learning positions/worksites.
• Valid driver’s license; transportation and proof of auto insurance.
• Spanish ability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instructional materials under licensed teacher direction.
• Provide instruction under licensed teacher direction.
• Assist teacher with student assignments and grading/recording.
• Take and maintain data as required by the licensed teacher.
• Assist students with restroom needs as advised.
• Maintain student safety and monitor behavior during recess, class and bus loading/unloading.
• Note discipline issues and complete relevant paperwork.
