Job summary

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking a dedicated aide to provide instructional support for students with disabilities. You will assist the teacher by performing instructional duties, preparing materials, and supervising students in a classroom setting.

Responsibilities include implementing behavior plans, supporting speech and language activities, and using classroom technology. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and prior experience with children, with a 10-month school calendar

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience as a teacher aide or working with children preferred.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with instructional duties and prepare classroom materials.
• Supervise student behavior and implement behavior modification plans.
• Support language development through reading and speech activities as directed by the therapist.
• Operate classroom technology and assist with routine clerical tasks.
• Assist with personal hygiene and physical care as needed.
• Maintain data on student progress and assist with data recording.
