Boston Public Schools is seeking an Afterschool Facilitator to deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate programming for elementary students in the afterschool program. Under the Principal's supervision, you will support homework, enrichment, recreation, and positive youth development in an inclusive environment.

You will supervise activities, build positive relationships with students and families, and help ensure access for multilingual learners and students with disabilities.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 48 college credits or an Associate's Degree, or a passing score on ParaPro or ACT WorkKeys.
• Minimum of two years of experience working with school-age children in afterschool, summer, educational, recreation, or youth development settings.
• Current authorization to work in the United States by first day of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver engaging daily programming including homework support, enrichment, recreation, and youth development activities.
• Provide active supervision to ensure safety during all program activities, transitions, and dismissal.
• Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for multilingual learners and students with disabilities.
• Build positive relationships with students and use positive strategies to support engagement and social-emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with families regarding participation and activities.
• Collaborate with other afterschool staff to support high-quality programming.
• Maintain attendance and complete required program documentation and reporting.
• Prepare, maintain, and restore classrooms and shared spaces used during the program.
• Participate in orientation, staff meetings, and professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
