Boston Public Schools is seeking an Afterschool Facilitator for Umana K-8 in Boston, MA. The role supports elementary students after school with homework help, enrichment, recreation, and positive youth development.

The Facilitator works under the Principal to create an inclusive, safe, and engaging environment for multilingual learners and students with disabilities. Responsibilities include supervision, family communication, collaboration with staff, attendance tracking, and program

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 48 college credits (or an Associate's Degree) or a passing score on ParaPro or ACT WorkKeys.
• Minimum of two years of experience with school-age children in afterschool/educational settings.
• Current authorization to work in the United States on first day of employment.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver engaging afterschool programming including homework support, enrichment, recreation, and youth development activities.
• Provide active supervision to ensure safety during all program activities.
• Create an inclusive environment that supports participation of multilingual learners and students with disabilities.
• Build positive relationships with students and support social-emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with families about participation and activities.
• Collaborate with other staff to maintain high-quality programming.
• Maintain attendance and complete program documentation and reporting.
• Prepare, maintain, and restore classrooms and shared spaces used by the program.
• Attend orientation, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
