Job summary

City of Boise's Parks and Recreation department seeks a dedicated leader to run adaptive recreation programs for adults with disabilities. You’ll oversee activities, ensure safety, and transport participants by van, coordinating with staff and destinations to deliver engaging experiences.

Applicants should have at least six months of related experience, a valid driver’s license, and first aid/CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Six months' experience volunteering or working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to communicate and establish rapport with participants of all ages and ability levels.
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Lead groups of adults with disabilities in adaptive recreation activities and transport participants by van.
  • Ensure participant safety and manage money for group activities.
  • Occasionally work one-on-one with individuals to facilitate inclusion into programs.
  • Act as liaison between parks and recreation and activity destinations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
