The Vanderbilt YMCA, part of the YMCA of Greater New York, is seeking an Inclusion Specialist to support afterschool programming for diverse youth at the Vanderbilt location in New York, NY. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field required.
• Two years of experience working with children under 13 preferred.
• Pediatrics CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Multilingual abilities are a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint expected.
• Strong interpersonal skills and leadership in diverse youth settings.

Responsabilités

• Welcome and develop inclusive programming with the Content Specialist.
• Create outreach strategies to engage participants facing participation barriers.
• Foster a safe, welcoming environment for all families.
• Manage participants’ Individualized Accommodation Plans.
• Maintain student behavioral support plans and logs.
• Support social-emotional development and behavior management in programming.
